Since my last post was all about my favorite MAC eye shadows, I thought I would do a post about my favorite MAC lipstick. I love MAC lipsticks. Their range of colors is huge and I love their formulations. Out of the group, I think my absolute favorites are Cream Cup and Pink Nouveau. Cream Cup is a cremesheen, which is my favorite lipstick formulation. It is a soft pinky nude shade. Pink Nouveau is a satin and a much brighter pink, but it is definitely wearable. If you have never checked out MAC lipsticks I definitely think you should head to a store immediately and pick up a couple of fabulous lipsticks!

My Top Ten Favorite MAC Eye Shadows

MAC eye shadows without a doubt are my favorite eye shadows. MAC's range of colors are awesome, as is their formulation and color payoff. When it comes to eye shadows, I am a neutrals girl all the way. My typical eye combination from day to day is very neutral and very brown. Along with all the fabulous browns in my collection, one of my absolute favorite colors is contrast. It is a dark navy blue. Even though it is a strong color, I feel like it is a great neutral. You can wear it on it's own or combine it with so many different browns. In my opinion everyone mus have a matte black eye shadow in their collection for a sexy smoky eye. MAC eye shadows are fabulous and I highly recommend you add a few to your collection!

Another beautiful day filled with sun for this holiday weekend. Memorial Day this year will be extra special because it's Jeff's Birthday. We are planning to grill out and watch a little baseball. I hope everyone is able to spend time with their loved ones on Memorial Day.

Makeup Storage

Today I thought I would share my makeup storage collection with you. It's a pretty good setup, but I wish I had more space for things. Before we moved to the D.C. area, I had my "closet room", where I kept all my makeup. I loved my setup there and miss it everyday. For now  my setup serves its purpose and works well. As for my actual storage, I love my Rubbermaid containers and pencil holders. I have three Rubbermaid containers that hold my makeup and three pencil holders for my brushes. I have had this setup for a while and have been pleased with it.

Nail Polish Storage And A Few Favorites

For years I had such a hard time storing my nail polish collection. I never seemed to find the perfect size and shaped container to hold all of my nail polishes. About a year ago I was watching one of my favorite YouTube gurus, MakeupbyTiffanyD, and she talked about how she stored her nail polish collection. After watching the video I immediately went to Target and found the exact container and have been happy ever since.

As for a few of my favorites, Year of the Dragon and Cajun Shrimp, by O.P.I are at the top of the list. Some of my current favorites are Blagger by butter London, Happy Birthday by Deborah Lippman, Mint Candy Apple by essie, and You Don't Know Jacques by O.P.I.

So I thought I would share some recent purchases with you. I am so in love with everything I bought and if you cannot tell, I am loving stripes for summer!:) I didn't even realize I had bought three stripped shirt until I started photographing things. I was also excited when I found the fedora at Target and realized it was on sale for $3! How great is that? As for the J. Crew capris, I have already worn them several times and I love them. They are super cute and comfy. I can't wait to wear everything this summer!

I am so in love with these mint green slouchy capris I picked up a J. Crew. As soon I a saw them in the store I knew I needed them. I have been loving all of the color in the stores lately. Places like the Gap, J. Crew, and H & M look like candy shops. I am trying to branch out and add more color to my wardrobe and the stores are making it very fun to shop. Ok, back to the pants. I decided to pair my mint green pants with one of my favorite button ups. I found this chambray shirt on the clearance rack at the Gap a few years ago and have definitely gotten my moneys worth out of it. I feel like I wear this shirt with just about everything.

May Birchbox

This months Birchbox is all about Gossip Girl, which to be honest I have never watched. It isn't my kind of show. I am more of The Office and Lost kind of girl.( two of the best t.v. shows EVER!) Even though I am not into Gossip Girl, I do know the show is basically all about fashion and beauty, which I appreciate. When I opened my May Birchbox, I was very excited to find the Kiehl's Abyssine Cream and the Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Treatment. I adore both of these brands and seeing them in the box made me very happy. I love Birchbox! It is so much fun getting fabulous little treats in the mail once a month.

April Beauty Favorites

Sorry I am a little late with the April beauty post, it has been a little crazy around here lately. I had quite a lot of beauty favorites for the month of April, along with a few skincare products. I think out of everything, my absolute favorite product is the Origins Eye Doctors Eye Care Cream. Some of the products are newer purchases and some are old favorites, like the Naked Palette. I love all of the products and highly recommend all of them, including my new Garnier BB cream. I have a review post ready to go on the BB cream, but I will go ahead and tell you that I love it! I love it even  more than the Too Faced BB Cream I  reviewed about a month ago. All of the products are wonderful and I have continue to use and love them!

Have I told everyone how much I love my purple checked shirt from J. Crew? I wore this button up a couple of weeks ago, and yesterday I decided I couldn't wait any longer to wear it again. This time instead of pairing it with jeans, I paired it with my green pants from Old Navy along with my favorite jean jacket. This outfit is so comfortable and casually pulled together at the same time. I love this outfit!

Nail of the Day: Saint Tropez

I decided to go with a more neutral nail for this week. Saint Tropez by essie was the first polish that came to mind. If you are looking for a classy and sophisticated polish, then Saint Tropez is the way to go. Y'all know I love my bright and my glittery polish, but having Saint Tropez on my nail makes me feel ever grown up. As for the actually polish itself, Saint Tropez is so creamy and opaque that with two coats you are good to go. The first coat is pretty streaky, but once you apply the second coat, it is completely opaque. Saint Tropez is one of my favorite polishes ever and if you don't already own it, I suggest you go pick it up immediately.

It's finally nice again outside, and for me that mean it is time to pull out the sandals and short sleeves. I have had this top from Anthropology forever. I love the way it crisscrosses under the bust and the pink crochet. All in all I would say this is my kind of spring outfit.
