So I thought I would share with you some of my favorite outfits of 2011. It is crazy how fast this year has gone by. I am excited for 2012 and can't wait to take many more outfit photos. I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year's Eve and an ever better new year!

Christmas Eve

This was my Christmas Eve outfit. It was the first time I had worn my Old Navy sweater and it was so comfy. It felt more like a "going out" snuggie than a nice sweater:) I can't believe New Year's Eve is only a few days away. Jeff and I are trying to decide what to do. What are your New Year's Eve plans?

Ski Lesson

On Christmas, after all the presents were opened Jeff took me for my very first skiing lesson. I only fell five times.....go me!!!!:) I have two giant bruises on my leg and my bum, but I guess it was worth it since I had a great time. Jeff and his brother Patrick are both very good skiers, and they were very patient with me. It was a lot of fun and a lot of work. I was so tired by the end. After a few hours of trying to ski, I decided to take a break and head for the bar:) Jeff and Patrick went to ski on the more difficult slope and I enjoyed a hot spiked cider.

Christmas Vacation

So much for snow on our vacation to Wintergreen Ski Resort. Even without snow, we are still having a great time. Jeff and I took the dogs for a hike this morning and then we went to check out slopes.....amazing aren't they?:) I think there are only two slopes open, but we will have fun just the same. I am more excited for the tubing than the skiing. I have actually never skied before, but Jeff is awesome. I think it was all those years skiing in the Alps when he lived in Europe. Tomorrow is Christmas and I hope everyone is able to be with their loved ones. Merry Christmas!!

An early Christmas gift

Let me just say words cannot describe how thrilled I was when Jeff gave me an early Christmas present yesterday. I was over the moon excited when I opened the box and saw my Rebecca Minkoff black mac bag with rose gold hardware, I repeat ROSE GOLD HARDWARE! She is so beautiful!!!! I love the long crossbody chain strap, the buttery soft leather, and of course the rose gold hardware. The detail and design of the bag is amazing. All I can say is I love it.

Nail of the Day

Last night when it came time to paint my nails, I decided to go with a fabulous Butter London Blue in Blagger and a little sparkle courtesy of Deborah Lippman.  I love the bright and deep blue of this nail polish. It applies very opaque even after just one coat. I also applied my Happy Birthday glitter polish to one nail on each hand, because everyone needs a little sparkle in their life.

The Naked 2 Palette

I GOT IT!!!!! The Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette is all mine!!!:) As you can probably tell I am very excited about this. I was not able to get the palette in the initial launch, but I got an e-mail from the company when they released the second group. When the Naked 2 Palette launched on December 1st, the company released 5000 palettes. It sold out in a few hours! How crazy is that? I went to several Ultas and Sephoras hoping the palette would be in stores. I also had my mom running all over her town looking for the palette too:) I found out that the palette will not be in stores until February. Believe me when I say I was very disappointed at the thought of having to wait at least two months to get a palette. Well.....I ended up only having to wait a week or two and then I got my e-mail saying the Naked 2 Palette was available again on the website. I immediately ordered my palette and was soooo excited about it.

So...I am very happy with the palette over all. The shadows are more on the cooler taupe side than the original Naked Palette. The shadows in the original palette are warm and gold, which I love. I am just as excited that the Naked 2 shadows are on the cool side. The palette also comes with a dual blending and shader brush and a cute little Lip Junkie gloss in Naked. The original Naked Palette came with a dual eyeliner and the very popular Primer Potion, which I also loved. In the picture below the original Naked Palette in on top and the Naked 2 is on the bottom. I also like that the Naked 2 has more matte shadows than the original. It has a great matte highlighter and a matte black, which is always nice to have.

I am so happy that I was able to get my hands on the Naked 2 Palette within days of its release. I am in love with all of the colors and cannot wait to start creating looks with it! If you are interesting in ordering the palette, it is available on the website now. It retails for $50, which in my opinion is a great price for what you are getting. I highly recommend this palette and the original palette. They would make wonderful Christmas presents:)

December Birchbox

I was so excited to receive my December Birchbox in the mail a few days ago. If you are not familiar with Birchbox, it is a monthly mail order beauty company. Every month you receive 4 or 5 beauty samples in the mail. It is so much fun to get a package in the mail every month. For December, I received four beauty samples and two extra nonbeauty samples. So far I have tried the Benefit primer, the Harvey Prince perfume, and the Jouer lip gloss.

Winter Warmth

Jeff and I did a some Christmas shopping today. It was nice to be out and about together. Jeff's semester has ended, so he was able to leave the studying behind to go out with me! Has everyone finished their Christmas shopping or are you a down to the wire shopper?

A Gray Day

Yesterday I met up with a great friend that I have not seen in over a year. We went to dinner and did a little shopping along with a lot of chatting:) I was so nice to spend time with her and I can't wait to do it again soon.
