Seeing Spots

I was so excited when I saw these shorts on sale at Old Navy. I found them the same time I found the blue and orange sailboats shorts. These shorts come in black, green and brown polka-dot. Even though I loved all the colors, I decided I would get the most use out of the black and white ones. I am still seeing them in the stores, so I suggest you head down to your local Old Navy and grab a pair, before they sale out!

Skincare Routine

These are the products I am currently using for my skincare routine. I am very pleased with how well the products work together for me skin. I have very dry skin, so none of these products are harsh or abrasive in the least. As for my moisturizers, the Mary Kay Time Wise moisturizer is my daily moisturizer and the Mary Kay Intense Moisturizing Cream is for nighttime and the winter months. About 6 months ago I started using a few Origins products, and I am loving them! I had never used Origins products before, but I am so glad I decided to give them a try. The Ahava purifying mask was in my July Birchbox, and so far I am enjoying it.

Summer Sales

Ok....so one of my absolute favorite things about summer are the sales. Stores begin marking down all of their spring and summer merchandise to make way for their fall stock. Nobody does end of season sales quite like the Gap, in my opinion. Mid-summer is always the best time to shop the Gap. It seems like everything in the store is on clearance, which if I am being honest is really a bad thing for me. I have some what of shopping addiction and the summer sales don't help!:) However, I do love all of the sales. Everything I have picked up recently was on major markdown. I love going into a store when things are on sale and walking out a huge shopping bag, knowing that everything I bought was on sale!

July Birchbox

I love a good Birchbox, and July's didn't disappoint. The theme of this months Birchbox is all about the senses. From the steaming summer temperatures to all the goodies at your local farmer's market, summer is the season of senses. So, naturally when I "saw" a couple of products inside my Birchbox I was a happy girl. The AHAVA Purifying Mud Mask and the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner were the two products I was super excited to see. I love any and all of the AHAVA products, so I know I will enjoy the mud mask. I plan to try it out this evening, so I will let you know. I have never tried the Eyeko eyeliner, but I love their skinny mascara, so I can't wait to use the skinny liquid eyeliner. As for the earbuds, they have been going with me to the gym and so far I am really liking them! July's Birchbox celebrates products that excite your senses and keep you energized on those long hot summer days.

Saturday evening was spent having dinner with some great friends. Before the rain moved in, Jeff, Mimi and I went out to take a few photos of my outfit. I love this skirt. I found it on sale at J. Crew. It is a bright coral color, and the best part of all, it has pockets!

With the temperatures in the 80s and blue sky over head, this has been a beautiful summer day. When I saw these orange sailboat shorts at Old Navy the other day I knew I had to have them. They totally reminded me of shorts from J. Crew with a much better price point. They are currently on sale for $20!

Drugstore Favorites

I love a good trip to the drugstore, where the makeup is endless and the prices are cheap. Today I decided to share some of my favorite drugstore beauty products with you. Summer Makeup



When the temperatures reach the 100 degree mark, I don't wear a lot of makeup. For me it is just too hot to fool with much makeup. However, the makeup that I do wear, I absolutely love. I could never rave enough about the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder or the MAC Chromagraphic Pencil in NC15/NW20. Both of these products are among my favorite products ever! The BB Cream is nice and light, which is perfect for summer, and I love just a hint of pink cheeks and lips.

Summer Haul

Hey everyone, long time no post! It has been a crazy few weeks regarding technology around our place. First Jeff's computer crashed, and then mine promptly followed. I am pleased to report that we currently have one working computer.
