I love my jewelry. Some of my favorite pieces were gifts from Jeff and some pieces I bought myself. I love classic pieces of jewelry that are more vintage and delicate. A few of my favorite pieces I have had for quite a while and other are more recent purchases. My Henri Bendel bangle is a very recent purchase, while I have had my diamond earrings for almost ten years. I am very attached to my jewelry and I plan to have all of these pieces for a very long time, (some longer than others:)

Chicken Salad

I love good food. I love eating good food and I love cooking good food. One of my favorite things to make is chicken salad. It is so easy and fast, and with the help of a rotisserie chicken it takes all of 10 minutes to prepare. I usually make it on Sunday afternoons, so I can enjoy it for the week, or however long it lasts, which around here is not very long. As for the actual recipe, I really don't have one. I just start adding ingredients and when it tastes good, I stop. There are however, a couple of things that I always do. I always buy a rotisserie chicken and I always toast the pecans in the oven. I often change out the ingredients, depending on what I have in the pantry. Sometimes I leave out the cranberries and add red grapes. You can add just about anything to chicken salad and it will taste great. I would love to know what your favorite chicken salad recipe is!

Haul Time

So I thought I would share some of things I have picked up recently. I guess you could call this a spring haul. I didn't realize until I started taking photos, just how many shirts I have bought recently. If you could no tell, I am having a moment with button up shirts. I love layering them with sweaters, cardigans and jackets. I also found a grey cardigan from Land's End, which has been perfect for layering with all of the button ups. I found the super cute animal print loafers on sale at Kohl's. I have been wanting a pair of shoes like these for quite a while, so I was glad I found them on sale. The flip flops were also on sale and a gift, which was great! The nail polishes were picked up at Target and Ulta, two of my favorite stores. As for the jewels I love them both so much!

Lovin These Days

Our weather has been amazing this week. It feels like springtime in Birmingham, not northern Virginia!

Ok...enough about the weather.

This is one of my favorite relaxed looks. I absolutely love this top. It is a Sparkle & Fade top I picked up at Urban Outfittters about a year ago. I love the two panels of different size stripes, and that it is shorter in the front and longer in the back. As for my black cardigan, I think it is my most worn piece of clothing. It goes with everything! It is also one of my favorite pieces of clothing. Just add some jeans, flip flops, and great pair of sunglass and you are ready to go. I love everything about my outfit!

Nail of the Day: Turquoise & Caiscos

Today I decided I needed a little fun  in my life, so I painted my nails with one of my favorite Springtime polishes. Turquoise & Caiscos is one of the most fun colors in my nail polish collection. It reminds me of the beach, and there is nothing better than the beach!

Another great thing about this polish is that it is by essie, which is one of my favorite polish companies. Of all the different companies out there, for me essie last the longest on my nails. I applied two coats of polish along with a top coat and I am very pleased with how it came out. If you don't already own essie's Turquoise & Caiscos, I recommend you pick it up immediately!

April Birchbox

My April Birchbox came in the mail today! Have I mentioned how much I love opening the mailbox to find my Birchbox waiting for me? This months Birchbox is all about natural beauty and fresh products, from the Befine Skincare's natural ingredients to the Orofluido Elixir's essential oils. Since it is Springtime, what's not to love about natural Spring like beauty products. The two products I am most excited about are the Befine Skincare Sampler and of course the Zoya nail polish is Bevin. I will definitely try the Microderma Mitt with the Befine Cleansing Exfoliator. Overall I am very excited to try all of the products in my April Birchbox.

Are We Sure It's Spring?!

So today was unfortunately not as warm as it has been lately. I had to bust out the sweaters and scarves again, which I was hoping I would not have to do. Thank goodness I didn't need to wear a coat! Oh well, hopefully by the weekend the weather will warm up and be nice.

Review: Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm

I cannot tell you how excited I was to get my hands on my first BB cream. If you are not familiar with BB cream, it originated in Korea and has spread like wildfire in the beauty world. I was able to find the Too Faced Beauty Balm at Ulta. I also looked at the Smashbox BB Cream, but ultimately went with the Too Faced, because it was cheaper:)

Ok....now for the review. I have been using the Too Faced BB cream in the color Cream Glow for about two weeks and I am loving it. I love the way it feel on my skin and how easily it goes on with a brush. If you like a full coverage foundation, I would stay away from the Too Faced BB Cream. The coverage is very sheer. It is somewhere between a tinted moisturizer and a light coverage foundation. It is very similar to the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation, which happens to be my favorite foundation. I am a light coverage foundation girl, which is why I knew I would love BB creams. The Too Faced BB Creams comes in four shades, which is typical for BB creams. They do not come in a large range of colors, because the formulation is so light and blends into the skin. Another thing I love about the Too Faced Beauty Balm is that it has SPF 20 in it, which is great for the warmer months. Over all I am very pleased with the product and I would repurchase it. If you are able to find the Too Faced Beauty Balm I highly recommend you try it out for yourself, you will be disappointed.

A Vintage Day

I picked up these light wash high wasted 70s style jeans at Banana Republic while I was in Birmingham a couple of weeks ago. I have been into light wash denim at the moment and these are my first pair of high wasted jeans. I can't wait to try them out with a lot of different tops!
